The former Széchenyi-Wolkenstein Castle
Oszvald Wolkeinstein, a descendant of Julianna Rákóczi, built the mansion at the foot of the Dereszla hill in the last quarter of the 19th century.
More information
In the 1920s, her heirs founded one of Hungary's first orchards in the park of the castle, and in 1921 archaeological research of the Dereszla hill began at this site, which brought to light Hungary's first Bronze Age finds.
