Kováts Photo Museum

The exhibition focuses on the development and material culture of 20th-century photography: old cameras, enlargers, darkroom tools, photo lab accessories, glass negatives, and paper prints tell the story of the early days of photography. One of the museum's most valuable sections is the collection of Transylvanian studio photographs, which provides insight into the fashion, customs, and portrait culture of the late 19th century through to the mid-20th century.

The Kováts Photo Museum not only displays objects but also functions as a living knowledge centre: engaging the public with temporary exhibitions, photo history lectures, masterclasses, school programmes, and themed guided tours.
