The Jungle Book Musical
Children's Day performance
The musical is based on Rudyard Kipling's novel of the same name, with the original stage adaptation developed by Géza Hegedűs D. and Zsuzsa Radnóti.
The play interprets the jungle as a mirror of human society, where animals endowed with human traits are tough, honest, and live by the strict laws of the jungle. Growing up in the jungle, Mowgli faces a series of struggles against the calculating and treacherous forces of the human world, but in the end, love calls him back to the community of people. The musical's soundscape is moving, uplifting, and filled with humour, with the songs enriched by layers of irony and style parodies. While primarily aimed at young audiences, the story and its life lessons offer profound insights and catharsis for all ages.
