Not just a performance, but an unforgettable evening in Miskolc! The Background Stories series has been a huge success on the TTH Stage at the Miskolc House of Science and Technology, and this year its "This Is How You Drink" version also attracted a large audience at the Borangolás festival.
On 13 October, the imaginative ad hoc troupe returns to the stage with new stories, new characters, and surprise guests who will catch even the most die-hard Background Stories fans off guard... Artistic director Attila Harsányi will reveal in the autumn who these special guests are...
Of course, the essence remains the same, as Miskolc is home to many recorded and word-of-mouth stories and legends that come to life in "Background Stories". The TTH Stage, with Attila Harsányi and his guests, presents a series of improvisations by Miskolc actors, offering a true here-and-now, never-to-be-repeated theatre experience, as the plot and characters are shaped from performance to performance.
Audiences can watch three to four stories come to life in one evening, performed by improvising actors using props hidden on stage, along with their narrator. On 13 October 2025 at 7:00 PM in Miskolc at the House of Science and Technology, you can laugh, ponder, and be thrilled by Miskolc mysteries, crimes, and famous tales. Doors open with live music at 6:00 PM, and after the performance, there will be an "after chat" with Ildikó Ráczkevy and the performers.
It’s worth arriving an hour before the 7:00 PM performance: live music and excellent wines await the audience, and after the show, the "after chat" provides a chance to meet the artists in a café setting, with the help of Ildikó Ráczkevy.
